Alper Orhon Award
Alper Orhon was a faculty member of the Boğaziçi University Department of Economics from 1968 to 1974. He played an instrumental role in the departmental decision to offer Mathematical Statistics and Econometrics, both of which later became requisite courses. Orhon also coordinated the creation of the first electronic database and program library project.
Alper Orhon Econometrics Award is given in commemoration of Alper Orhon, to students in recognition of their achievements in the courses of Mathematical Statistics and Econometrics.
